ISAI Build Venture is an €80M fund that invests globally in startups developing solutions to accelerate the transformation and decarbonization of Bouygues' core businesses around construction, real estate, transport infrastructure, energy, and services infrastructure. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge topics, particularly in Climate and EnergyTech.

Descriptif du poste

As an Associate/Senior Associate you will play a key role within the ISAI Build Venture team, with diverse tasks across the entire investment cycle as well as portfolio management. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Sourcing

    • Build a strong network of ConTech/Climate actors (incubators, investors, …) for dealflow purposes
    • Perform in-depth scans on ConTech/Climate content, events, and communities to identify potential investments
    • Assist the team in discussions with Bouygues on key topics for their business units and in identifying startups in these target sectors

  • Deal Making

    • Conduct in-depth research and analyses on sectors and markets (market trends, competitive landscape, growth potential, etc.),
    • Perform critical assessments of companies, business models and business plans,
    • Support the coordination and review of due diligence processes
    • Contribute to the preparation of investment memorandums for the investment committee,
    • Assist in transaction structuring and legal documentation reviews, in collaboration with lawyers.

  • Portfolio Management

    • Monitor the financial and operational performance of investments,
    • Identify exit opportunities/scenarios,
    • Consolidate internal portfolio monitoring data & reports.

Profil recherché

Preferred experience & skills

  • Education: Graduate of a top-tier engineering school or a leading university, with a preferred expertise on Energy & Industry topics.

  • Experience: 2 to 6 years of experience in Venture Capital (preferred), PE, Strategy Consulting or Tech startups/scaleups.

  • Analytical skills: Robust quantitative skills in financial analysis.

  • Interest in the tech sector: A strong interest for innovation and Tech, intellectual curiosity, and a desire to work with ambitious entrepreneurs. Ability to quickly grasp a wide range of topics and to analyze very diverse business models, often outside the norms of traditional venture capital.

  • Rigor and autonomy: An ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously, with high attention to details and high delivery standards.

  • Interpersonal skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English.
